MAJOR OBSTACLES - difficulties following the planned schedule. - bug fixing and validation. - feedback from the client. (teachers) - automation features. ------------- WEEKLY REPORT 09-18-23 - we initially planned to finish the admin side of our system in 1st to 2nd week of our development but had a lot of difficulties in following the planned schedule due to bugs and implementing a lot of newly learned methods and a lot of bug fixing in order for a smooth running system, now we're on our 4th week and is already halfway finished in the admin side, this week we're planning to finish the managing of subjects and assigning it to teachers, if done early, next in line is enrolling students by giving them subjects. 09-25-23 - we're finally done with enrolling students and assigning subjects, this week we plan to finish the main purpose of this project, which is storing the grades of a student, we also plan to add a new page which is accessible to section adviser, this page has the list of students enrolled in their section so that they can easily view all the grades and send it to the parents email, if all of this will be finished earlier this week then only finishing touches will be made to admin/employee pages, after that we will move on to student pages. 10-02-23 - almost all features for the admin/employee side are already finished, only the sending of email to the student guardian is not done yet, and some optimization to some pages as well to improve validation and also the forget password feature that will also send an email to the user. 10-09-23 - this week we will be focusing on making the student-role pages, change password feature (in account settings) improving the validation and security of the pages, optimizations, polishing of some features, and bug hunting. 10-23-23 - after going to Caridad NHS for checking, they provided some feedbacks and features they would like to be added in the system, like more information to be stored in profiles and the ability to add all subjects to students automatically based on their section and current year level, they also want the advisers in a section to be able to update the grades of their classroom students, other existing features we presented to them have been greenlit and the UI received a great feedback as well, however during the presentation I noticed that some of the elements is too small in medium-sized screens so I have to take notes of that as well. 10-29-23 - We managed to add all the requested features from the feedback last week, the most difficult feature was the automation of adding multiple subjects based on the student's section because I had to re-trace and re-write all of the codes that's has to do with the sections, there's certainly a lot of thinking process I had to experience solving how to make this automation feature., last thing to do is to finish the audit log feature, and deploy the system to a free online hosting service for testing.
